There are so many great pieces out there at the moment I had to create a post on my favourite outfits for the colder months - which are bump friendly of course.
It's really not easy shopping when you've got to think about what will work with your bump so I hope that this post will help some of you, or at least give you some tips and inspiration on what to look out for when shopping during pregnancy.
As always my top tips are:
- If you are purchasing non-maternity specific items always ensure they are stretchy/ elasticated in some way so that they stretch over your bump. Often it's also best to size up to ensure a good fit.
- Dresses and tops - make sure that they aren't too short because once you add in a large bump these tops quickly become crop-tops
- Always buy maternity tights, you will thank me for this later ;)
- Shoes - ensure that these are easy enough to slip-on easily without too much bending over
Materials - This might not apply to everyone, but I found that I got hot so much more easily when pregnant so I would tend to avoid extra thick materials
Let me know your thoughts on the outfits in the comments section!
LOOK 1 | GOTHIC CHIC
I really love this brand of maternity tights as they do cute patterned ones which can be hard to find. I have paired these polka-dot tights with metal-stud detail, belted shirt-dress and chunky leather creepers. Finish the look with oversized scarf and jacket of choice.
I can totally see this as a cute bonfire night look (maybe swapping the shoes for wellies!)

LOOK 2 | COFFEE AND CAKE
Let's be honest we all need to eat more cake in the winter months and even more so now that we're eating for two. I can picture wearing this look for a casual weekend outing or hanging out at the coffee shop. These leather dungarees are absolutely perfect for pregnancy, not only are they super stylish but comfy too. I have paired them with a cream polo-neck, trainers and cashmere scarf

LOOK 3 | DINNER AND MOCKTAILS
A more sophisticated look which is perfect for an evening out (even if you are in bed by 9pm).
These leather joggers have an elasticated waistband for extra comfort and can also be worn above or below the bump depending what feels more comfortable.
I have paired these with a stretch-jersey polo-neck and slip on mules. Throw on a blazer and you're good to go!

LOOK 4 | THE PARK STROLL
I love a monochrome look and this outfit is so versatile as it can easily be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. I am obsessed with this oversized leather bomber jacket which I would pair with an oversized white tee, black maternity leggings and trainers, VOILA

LOOK 5 | PLEAts PLEASE
Halloween is around the corner and this gothic-esque outfit is perfect for the occasion. This pleated two-piece is a great mix of style and comfort, the elasticated-waist trousers are paired with matching loose-fitting top, slip-on leather shoe and I have added a bright green scarf for a pop of colour

LOOK 6 | BONFIRE CHILLS
If you haven't seen my recent post on jumper knit-dresses then I highly recommend it as these are one of the pregnacny staple items that will save you in almost any wardrobe-fail situation.
I remember having frequent melt-downs when trying on outfits before going out when pregnant and it was so stressful.
For this outfit I have paired a cream jumper-dress with maternity tights and black patent boot. You can't really go wrong with this type of outfit so I recommend having something similar in your wardrobe at all times throughout pregnancy.
The leather bomber 🤤
